There’s a lot going on this weekend at Top Trails Outdoor Park in Talladega, Ala., AL.com reported.
The park opened its 29 new campsites, 25 of which are for RVs, and four new two-bedroom cabins.
The RV campsites offer level gravel pads with water, sewer and 50/30/20-amp electric service. All RV campsites feature a picnic table, grill and fire ring. The cost is $35 per night with access to the ATV park.
The cabins offer a small deck, full kitchen and large bathroom with ADA-compliant shower. One of the four cabins is full ADA-compliant with an entry ramp.
The weekend of activities started today (April 28) with the grand opening of the park’s new campground. Saturday, Top Trails will host its first Spring Mud Jam.
The park is holding an open house today to check out the new facilities. “We are inviting people from our local communities to come check us out today and see what all we’ve been able to accomplish,” said Wes Pope, Top Trails park director.
“As a public facility, Top Trails qualifies for funding through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA). We were able to combine $1 million in ADECA grants and volunteer match to build our new campground.”
