The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests Black Mesa Ranger District in Arizona announced that all campgrounds managed by Thousand Trails Management Services Inc. are closed for the season, the White Mountain Independent reported. The Woods Canyon Lake store is also closed for the season.
All dispersed camping is still allowed throughout the forests with a 14-day stay limit. Also, dispersed camping is with no water or trash services so campers must “pack it in and pack it out.”
