Some of the campgrounds on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona are closing for the season, the White Mountain Independent reported.

Dispersed camping is still allowed throughout the forests. The 14-day stay limit is applicable year round. Also, dispersed camping is with no water or trash services — so they are “pack it in and pack it out.”

 Campground closures by district are:

Lakeside Ranger District:

  • Los Burros Campground: open, no water, toilets available, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Lewis Canyon: closed for season.
  • Scott Reservoir: open, no water, toilets available, closed for camping, day use only until April 2015.
  • Lakeside Campground: closed.
  • Fool Hollow Recreation Area: toliets and water available, open year round.

Clifton Ranger District:

  • Stray horse Campground: no water, toilets available, open year round.
  • Honeymoon Campground: no water, toilets available, open year round.
  • Upper Juan Miller Campground: no water, toilets available, open year round.
  • Granville Campground: no water, toilets available, open year round.
  • Frisco Camp Picnic Area: no water, toilets available, open year round.
  • Coal Creek Campground: no water, toilets available, open year round.
  • Sheep Saddle Picnic Area: no water, toilets available, open year round.
  • Bear Track Picnic Area: no water, toilets available, open year round.
  • Black Jack Campground: no water, toilets available, open year round.

Alpine Ranger District:

  • Alpine Divide: no water, toilets available, open.
  • Luna Lake Campground: no water, toilets available, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Diamond Rock Campground: no water, toilets available, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Deer Creek Campground: no water, toilets available, open, closes when no long accessible.
  • Raccoon Campground: no water, toilets available, open, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Aspen Campground: : no water, toilets available, open, closes when no longer accessible.
  • West Fork: closed indefinitely due to Wallow Fire
  • East Fork: open, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Horse Springs Campground: no water, toilets available, open, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Buffalo Crossing Campground: no water, toilets available, open, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Upper Blue Campground: no water, toilets available, open, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Blue Crossing Campground: no water, toilets available, open, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Hannagan Campground: no water, toilets available, open, closes when no longer accessible.
  • KP Cienega Campground: no water, toilets available, open, closes when no longer accessible.

Black Mesa Ranger District:

  • Canyon Point Campground: water, toilets available, closes Nov. 9.
  • Sinkhole Campground: water, toilets available, closes Nov. 9.
  • Rim Campground: closed.
  • Mogollon Campground: closed.
  • Aspen Campground: water, toilets available, closes Nov. 9.
  • Spillway Campground: water, toilets available, closes Nov. 9.
  • Woods Canyon Group Site: water, toilets available, closes Nov. 9.
  • Crook Campground: water, toilets available, closes Nov. 9.
  • Black Canyon Lake Campground: closed.
  • Gentry Campground: closed.

Springerville Ranger District:

  • Gabaldon Campground: open, no water, closes when no longer accessible.
  • Apache Trout Campground: open RRM of A closed, then reduced fee with no water. RV only after Oct. 31, then closes Nov. 15.
  • Brookchar Campground: open, water and toilets available, RRM of A closes Nov. 10.
  • Cutthroat Campground: open, water and toilets available, RRM of A closes Nov. 10.
  • Grayling Campground: open, water and toilets available, RRM of A closes Nov. 15.
  • Rainbow Campground: closed.
  • Benny Creek Campground, open, water and toilets available, closes Nov. 15.
  • Hoyer Campground: closed.
  • Winn Campground: closed
  • Marina Flush Toilet; closed.
  • Marina Fish Cleaning Station: closed.
