Mark D. Anderson, a 40-year veteran of the campground industry, was named chairman of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) during the organization’s national InSites Convention Nov. 6-9 in Phoenix, Ariz.
Anderson is owner, president and CEO of Camp Chautauqua, a nationally recognized, top rated camping resort located on the shores of Chautauqua Lake in New York.
He is joined on the executive committee by Max Gibbs, past chairman, CPO, Sandy Pines, Hopkins, Mich.; Gene Zanger, first vice chairman, Casa De Fruta Orchard Resort, Hollister, Calif.; Mary Arlington, CPO, second vice chairman, High Plains Camping Resort, Oakley, Kan.; Sandy Tinsley, secretary, CPO, Rutledge Lake Travel Park, Fletcher, N.C.; and Wayne Purchase, treasurer, ARVC Michigan, Mio, Mich.
“We are committed to moving toward the fulfillment of our strategic plan, with our top priorities being continued enhancement of our relations with both our state affiliates and other industry partners,” Anderson said in a news release.
