The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) is the latest organization to warn about questionable invoices that have impacted owners in Maryland, South Dakota and other states.

In a press release, ARVC suggest that all campground owners nationwide “carefully inspect all invoices before submitting them for payment.”

The invoices are being sent from a company referring to itself as “Go RV Inc.”, which is very similar to the Go RVing, a joint promotional program by the RV Industry Association and the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association.

On the invoice, the issuing company claims “Go RV acquired the Maryland Campground and RV Park Directory Inc. and SW Publications Nationwide”.

Because many campgrounds employ South East Publications to create and publish their directories, this similarity could also be confusing to campground owners, according to officials at ARVC.

Mary Arlington, the executive director of the South Dakota Campground Owners Association (SDCOA), warned of the same invoice in a letter that was published by Woodall’s Campground Management on June 25.

She noted that SDCOA members are listed in the association’s printed and online guides as one of the benefits of joining SDCOA and that they will not be billed separatly for the program.
