The following member update issued by the RV Industry Association (RVIA) offers a rundown of initiatives and procedures implemented in response to the coronavirus.

As part of our continued efforts to stay active during the COVID-19 crisis, we want to make sure our members are updated on recent steps the association has taken to support the industry.

On Friday (March 20) afternoon, the board of directors met and approved talking points that members of the industry can use to answer questions you all may be getting regarding the industry’s response to the situation. (To view the list click here).

In conversations with state and federal policymakers, we are asking to recognize the RV industry, including parks and campgrounds, as essential businesses that are uniquely able and willing to support on the national, state and local level.

Things are evolving quickly on the state level and staff at the association is working 24/7 to remain in constant contact with state policymakers across the country. The RV Industry Association, Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA), and the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC) recently sent out a letter to all 50 state governors, strongly urging them to recognize the RV industry and campgrounds as essential businesses as they weigh and implement measures in response to the virus in their individual states.

RVIA will continue to monitor the spread of this virus and its potential impact on the RV industry. Our top priority is the safety of our industry’s employees, members and communities.
