The Reservations Management Panel has become a must-attend event at ARVC’s annual OHCE.
Reservation systems are always one of the hottest topics in the outdoor hospitality industry, as every park wants to simplify, streamline and improve booking opportunities. There are a number of companies that have stepped into this space to offer a helping hand, each with a different host of features including interactive mapping of parks, contactless kiosks, dynamic pricing and cashless payment, all offering varying budget options, according to the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC).
In order to assist RV park and campground owners and operators in their search for the best reservation system for their parks, the ARVC is bringing back the popular interactive Reservation Systems Panel during its Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo 2021 (OHCE), which runs from Nov. 8-11 in Raleigh, N.C.
This year, ARVC is making some changes to the format of the panel. The panel will give attendees a chance to engage directly with 12 of the premier companies to gain a better understanding of the products and services each offer, but new this year, a campground owner or manager who uses the reservation system on a daily basis will be on stage as well to help answer questions and give their insights into the product they use every day.
“This has been one of the most popular sessions at every OHCE since 2018, so it was clear the Reservation Systems panel was a must again this year, but we also wanted to change up the format to make it even more valuable for our attendees,” said Susan Motley, ARVC’s senior director of education and events. “Bringing representatives from each of the systems together gives attendees a one-stop-shop to understand, the key features each company offers, and adding the campground owners on stage with them will offer a personalized insight that campground owners, operators and managers in the audience will be able to relate to directly. The companies get everyone’s undivided attention, and the attendees are better prepared to make decisions to meet their park’s needs. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
The panel will feature an open Q&A which will allow attendees to be equipped to hit the Expo Hall floor and dive into conversations with their unique needs in mind.
Representatives of the 12 reservation management systems will take the stage in two rounds to introduce their products, followed by a 40-minute, interactive Q&A session with the audience. The event will be co-moderated by Joe Moore, the Supplier Council Representative on the ARVC Board of Directors, and Lelah Campo, owner of ARVC member-park Cozy Hills Campground in Bantam, Conn.
The session will take place from 3:15-4:45 p.m. EST on Wed. Nov. 10, and the Expo officially kicks off later that day at 6 p.m. OHCE2021 attendees are able to submit questions to info@arvc.org ahead of time to better prepare panelists and the moderator.
