The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) National Issues Conference will be held in Washington, D.C., April 28 to 29 with a focus on the priorities of the new administration and the impact on the RV park and campground industry.
ARVC hopes to have the meetings at the new National Visitor Center at the foot of the Capitol, according to the current issue of the ARVC Report.
ARVC is waiting to be notified – no requested meetings in the National Visitor Center were being confirmed until sometime in February. Presentations and discussion will include a general economic outlook, a focus on tourism and recreation, an RV industry outlook and discussion on energy and sustainability issues and ideas. John Satagaj, president of the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC), will present a session on small business legislative and regulatory issues. There also will be discussion on the congressional tax agenda, healthcare reform and transportation.
ARVC also will be giving out its National Service Award and Federal RVer of the Year Award. This year’s candidate for the RVer of the Year Award is Justice Clarence Thomas.
ARVC will be sending out information on registration and hotel reservations within the next few weeks.
