Wellsboro (Pa.) District Court Judge Rob Repard ruled that six cabins at Stony Fork Creek Campground do not conform to Delmar Township’s zoning ordinance, the Wellsboro Gazette reported.

On Dec. 11, Repard fined the campground $12,000 plus $162.50 in court costs. Campground owner Randy Grim has 30 days to appeal.

The cabins have been an issue since April when the township asked the campground to secure zoning permits. Grim applied, but was denied and the township asked him to request a variance. He declined. In August, the cabins were posted for the violation and the campground had 45 days to bring them into compliance.

Each cabin was assessed $500 per day for each day past the deadline.
