This notice must be posted in all public swimming pools in the state of California.

From this week’s edition of CalARVC’s “Wednesday Morning Coffee Talk & Updates” comes this valuable reminder for California park operators:

“We missed this requirement in last year’s revision of the California Building Code, Title 24, Part 2, Vol. 2, Chapter 31B, Section 3120B.11. This new requirement became effective September of 2012: A sign in letters at least 1 inch (25 mm) high and in a language or diagram that is clearly stated shall be posted at the entrance area of a public pool which states that persons having currently active diarrhea or who have had active diarrhea within the previous 14 days shall not be allowed to enter the pool water.”
