The Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Caledonia, Wisc., installed cabins a few years ago and is now set for a large expansion.

While some children and families may have already done some hiking or sat by a campfire at a summer camp, one local campground is getting a bit bigger to be more accommodating in the future, according to The Journal Times.

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Caledonia, Wisc., is in the process of expanding and improving its amenities. Construction on the campground is underway, although there has not been a formal announcement of the timeline.

Bridget Bender, who co-owns the park along with her parents, Theresa and Randy Isaacson, said they are waiting to announce the timeline when the construction process is further along and they have a “better idea on firm dates.”

“Currently our crews are building berms and storm water management ponds,” Bender said. “They will then work on the large swimming pond, grading roads, campsites and installation of utilities, and a couple buildings on site.”

Park owners plans to expand the size of the campground to 220 acres from the current 43 acres.
