The owner of The Lodge at Painted Rock in Lake Isabella, Calif., is seeking a developer to help augment his property with a upscale RV park.
“At this time we are seeking a developer to purchase or joint venture on further development of our existing facility,” owner Tom Teofilo said in a written announcement. “We joined the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds following their informative conference in Daytona Beach last November, and we’re keen to take advantage of the growing RV resort market.”
The lodge is an executive retreat and conference center located in the foothills of California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range 45 minutes east of Bakersfield, right on the Kern River, a designated “Wild and Scenic” river.
The idea, according to Teofilo, is to use the existing 7,200-square-foot lodge as the centerpiece for the RV park. The existing barbecue center, viewing decks and lobby lounge would be available to RVers, along with a planned fitness center with pool and amphitheater.
He’s seeking help to plan and build the 40-plus RV sites and rental park model RVs as well as additional amenities to attract luxury RV owners, he said. He’d also like to add 50 luxury guest rooms as part of the project.
Anyone interested in the project can call Teofilo at 562-413-5664 or email him at [email protected].
