Campground associations in California and Texas, two of the nation’s biggest camping markets, have identified member parks who have vacancies for the upcoming Labor Day weekend.

There are still campsites and rental accommodations available at campgrounds, RV parks and resorts throughout California. But they’re filling up quickly, according to a news release.

Camp-California.com has identified 34 campgrounds that still had vacancies as of Friday.

“The best thing to do is check Camp-California.com to see which campgrounds are located in the areas you’d like to visit, and call them to see if they still have space available,” said Debbie Sipe, executive director of the California Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (CalARVC), which operates Camp-California.com.

Likewise, the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) has identified at least 13 campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across Texas that still have campsites and cottages available for the holiday weekend.

“We’ve compiled a short list of parks that still have RV, tent, cabin and park model rentals available to help folks who want to secure their reservations quickly without doing a lot of research,” said Brian Schaeffer, TACO executive director and CEO.

TACO has compiled extensive listings of campgrounds, RV parks and resorts, which can be accessed at TexasCampgrounds.com.
