The Summit is being held from April 5-6 at @the Grounds event center in Roseville, Calif.
CampCalNOW has also announced that it is seeking donations for its silent auction that will be held during the Summit. All proceeds from the auction go directly to the association’s RecPac, which finances its advocacy efforts.
“Something as simple as a two-night stay in your park, an exciting new experience, or a fun gift basket makes the perfect contribution,” noted the email.
Contact CampCalNOW’s office at 530-885-1624 if you would like to arrange a donation.
The two-day conference and tradeshow will include panel discussions on several key topics of interest to park operators in California, including “Solutions to Dealing with Fires” with expert suggestions on preparation, mitigation, hydration and collaboration from representatives of CalFire, Tahoe National Forest, Leavitt Recreation and Hospitality Insurance, and a certified forester from a tree care company called A Plus Tree Inc. There will also be a demonstration of the Silvertip Towers’ fire suppression systems.
A representative from the American Glamping Association will lead a session on “How to add glamping to your park,” with suggestions on the types of accommodations, from glamping tents and other eco-structures to covered wagons and park models, that appeal to glamping enthusiasts. Vendors will also be on hand to showcase their glamping units.
Another panel discussion will address the topic of electric vehicles and what parks need to do to prepare for increasing numbers of guests who arrive with electric vehicles that need to be charged.
“There are some huge changes coming to the industry,” Dyana Kelley, president and CEO of CampCalNow, said in a previous article, referencing the increasing consumer interest in both glamping and electric vehicles.
