Thousands of people are expected in Sioux Falls, S.D., this weekend for the 17th annual RibFest, television staton KELO reported.
Some of them are camping adjacent to the event at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.
With RibFest kicked off, everyone is looking forward to something this weekend like the bands, food, or fun. As for Terry and Joanie Mousel of Alton, Iowa, began setting up camp on Thursday morning.
“We have never been here and wanted to check it out. It sounds like a lot of fun. We’re going to meet up with some friends here and have a good time,” Terry Mousel said.
“I’m kind of excited it moved to the campground this year, so you can do camping and enjoy the festivities all weekend long,” Joanie Mousel said.
Even though many RVs line the campground, Genie Spielmann and Angel Stevens of Sioux Falls said they are “roughing it”. They pitched their tent and hope for a warm, dry weekend.
“Sometimes you have to get out and enjoy the concerts. We don’t have many so we need to enjoy the ones we have,” Genie Spielmann and Angel Stevens said.
