Editor’s note: This message was sent from campersAPP and talks about some of the things they are doing to help park owners through the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
As COVID-19 wreaks havoc on our communities, towns, country, and the greater planet today, it’s more important that we come together, lift each other up, and follow all protocols set forth by our local governments. We have to be there for each other right now as many of us have family members in healthcare, on the front-lines, risking their lives to battle this virus.
We want you to know that campersAPP is working diligently to develop features parks’ need to operate with social distancing, helping campgrounds be safer than ever before.
We want to commend the incredible work coming out of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) as well as the state camping associations. They have been working day and night for the parks they serve and relaying the constantly changing rules and regulations to their members. If you were ever on the fence about whether to join a campground association, I think the actions of these groups over the past few weeks illustrate their level of dedication and care. Don’t hesitate, just do it.
We are also moved by the camping industry experts who have been lending their skills to help parks navigate everything from park disaster planning, insurance considerations, to how to handle park marketing during a pandemic. We too want to help parks get through this difficult time.
We have put together a comprehensive website that outlines all the new features that are now available. Some of these features are available to noncampersAPP parks too, such as the new digital check-in and waivers. We have also created a free COVID-19 poster for parks (partly featured in the header of this email). For the free download, and to learn more about the new features, please visit our COVID-19 webpage linked here.
To help RVers who may be displaced due to the COVID-19 pandemic, effective immediately, Site Tonite (campersAPP’s campsite marketplace) will be FREE.
At the present time, many parks are facing state mandates and restrictions with very little notice. These changes are having a direct impact on RVers who may suddenly be asked to relocate. Others may decide to travel home and need stopovers during their trip. We all hope this virus will get under control quickly and restrictions will lift however because we don’t know when this day will happen, we have decided to waive all Site Tonite platform fees through January 1, 2021.
