The National Park Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are seeking volunteers to participate in a clean-up effort to observe National Public Lands Day starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Horse Creek Campground at Lake Kaweah, Calif., the Visalea Times-Delta reported.

The volunteers will work on several projects seeking to beautify the public lands. Lunch will be provided to registered volunteers.

For this year’s clean-up effort, volunteers will take part in projects such as refurbishing campsites, restoring habitat, collecting litter and planting trees.
