It’s less than 75 days away and the 75th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is expected to be an epic one this year, television station KEVN reported.
Planning has been well under way for years in anticipation of what could possibly bring a million people.
Every summer, Rally Town transforms into the mecca for bikers from all over the world.
And in order to take in all that the rally has to offer , camping out for days or even weeks, is something hundreds of thousands of people do.
While the 75th is expected to be the biggest it’s ever been, people have been making reservations right and left to ensure their spot on the campground .
The owner of the Buffalo Chip says there’s plenty of room, and they can expand the campground if necessary.
Rod Woodruff, Buffalo Chip owner, said, “600 acres is going to work fine, but there are still a lot of people that are making their last-minute decisions to come.” He estimated there will be more than twice as many people as in 2014.
The rally will take over the first week of August, however Woodruff says people will be rolling in weeks in advance.
