The campground will likely be full. But Michael Braunfeld, who organizes entertainment for the Spring Gulch Folk Festival with his father, Andy Braunfeld, hopes this year to see more people walking through the gate at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in New Holland, Pa.

“It’s always very well attended. The campsite is always full … I would guess in the field at any given point you’ll see 1,000 to 1,500 people,” he told Lancaster Online.

“But, honestly, our gate is pretty static. No matter what we do, getting the daytrippers out has never worked out. More than a few, but not as many as we’d like.”

Maybe that will change, once folks see the performers scheduled to take the stage at the 28th annual festival next Friday through Sunday.

“We’ve been doing this, my father and I, for quite a while now,” he said. “This is one of the lineups I am most excited yet.”
