The daily rental cost for a primitive campground site at Riverbend Recreation Area has been increased, but it actually will be cheaper for groups. The Hancock (Ohio) Park District board unanimously approved the rate change Tuesday (April 12), the  Courier of Findlay reported.

The daily rate will be $15 per site, with a maximum of eight people at the site. Each location has a fire ring and a picnic table which seats eight. The previous rate was $6 per person.

The change was recommended by Gary Pruitt, park district director, and Vicky Stozich, business manager, to coordinate with new software being developed to reserve and pay rentals online. The software is expected to be available in the fall, when a new website is done.
