After weeks of heavy rainfall and flooding in March and April, the water level at Cave Run Lake is slowly receding, television station WTVQ reported.
Some recreation areas around the lake remain under water.
At Twin Knobs Campground, most campsites are open and available for use, including the group use areas. At Zilpo Campground, several loops are now open, including access to some camper cabins.
Camping reservations will not be available at Twin Knobs or Zilpo until after June 30.
The Claylick Campground and boat ramp remain closed.
Cleanup, repairs and maintenance of these facilities and other flooded recreation areas are expected to take several weeks. The lake is currently at 744 feet, nearly 15 feet above summer pool level.
