camplife Since its founding in 2006 (as Campground Automation Systems), reservation software provider CampLife has gained a loyal customer base. Now the company will celebrate its customers with gifts or complimentary services every 15 days for all of 2022, according to a press release.

CampLife will select customers by lottery and reward them in a variety of ways. Planned gifts range from swag bags to coffee and donut delivery to park staff, to custom reservation system rules programming. The 15-day appreciation cycle is symbolic of CampLife’s 15 years of building innovative software and useful services shaped by campgrounds, noted the release.

The business credits its longevity to listening to customers and collaborating with them to create what parks need. Rebecca Chapman, of Wolfe’s Neck Oceanfront Camping, said: “When the pandemic hit and everything needed to be changed, CampLife was on it, offering features I hadn’t even thought of in order to help us all out. But really, the customer service is where it’s at. They’re always warm and friendly.”

CampLife’s first products were a self-service reservation kiosk that collected card payments and a wireless controller to turn site utilities on and off accordingly. Company founders Tyler and Jackie Duffy wanted to integrate the hardware with an existing property management system and asked park owners which systems they should approach. But after hearing how parks struggled with reservation software, the Duffys stopped looking for an integration partner and decided to build the easy-to-use, rules-based online system that campgrounds needed, explained the release.

Tyler Duffy, president of CampLife, said: “Park operators are awesome. They contribute so much to the world by helping campers recharge and make lifelong memories. Over 600 private, city, county and state parks across the U.S. and Canada use CampLife. Its online system can be customized for each park with a dynamic rules engine that Duffy says is the software’s “secret sauce.” Features like mobile check-in, digital signatures and document storage, SMS texting, gate integration, and more, offer convenience and keep parks agile.
