Campspot’s New Feature Helps Parks Recover Lost Bookings

Campspot Booking 2

Campspot, a campground management and reservation software, has announced the launch of Abandoned Cart, a new feature that automatically re-engages guests who begin a booking but don’t complete it, according to a press release.

“The release reflects Campspot’s continued investment in giving campground and RV park operators the same modern, revenue-generating tools that have long powered mainstream travel,” stated the release. “Outdoor hospitality has seen a surge in demand as travelers increasingly seek the modern booking experience once reserved for hotels and short-term rentals. Yet the tools available to campground operators have historically lagged behind those used across mainstream travel, leaving revenue on the table when high-intent guests fail to complete a booking.”

Abandoned Cart addresses that gap directly by empowering parks with enterprise-grade features to automate reminder emails for abandoned carts, allowing guests to restore their cart and complete their purchase in seconds.

“Outdoor hospitality operators are running increasingly sophisticated businesses, and they deserve technology that matches that sophistication,” said Michael Scheinman, CEO of Campspot. “Abandoned Cart brings modern automation into our industry, giving every park the ability to recover revenue automatically, the same way the biggest names in travel already do.”

When a guest returns through the recovery email, their full cart — including selected site, dates, occupancy and add-ons — is automatically restored, allowing them to complete checkout in seconds. Campspot is also equipping operators with a new Abandoned Cart report, giving park owners visibility into recovery status, emails sent and revenue recovered, so operators can measure the direct business impact of the feature.

The launch builds on Campspot’s broader strategy of empowering campground operators, independent and multi-park alike, with enterprise-grade tools that drive revenue growth without adding operational burden, the release stated. By automating a task that would otherwise require manual follow-up, Campspot continues to position the outdoor hospitality industry to compete for, and win, the modern traveler.
