Canadian tourists will soon return to southwest Florida RV parks after getting the green light to come back to the United States, according to ABC 7.

But some local parks said they’re getting so many calls, they’re running out of space.

“The Canadian business for us is big,” said Chad McCumber, the manager for the Blueway RV Village in South Fort Myers. “The RV business right now is booming, so to get spots in Florida, right now is difficult.”

This influx of calls and requests for reservations from Canadians comes as the land border is set to reopen on Nov. 8 to all vaccinated Canadian travelers.

Now, McCumber and other RV resort owners/operators are looking forward to the economic boom that Canadians will bring to the area.
