Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales increased 17% in July while registrations rose 9.6% for the first seven months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.

As reported by RVBUSINESS.COM, Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader year-to-date, capturing a 28% market share, followed by Thor Industries Inc. (22.2%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (12.8%).

Class A registrations rose 10.6% in July from a year ago, but were down 0.8% year-to-date. Thor was No. 1 in the category for the seven  months with a 23.1% market share, ahead of Fleetwood RV Inc. (15.3%). Winnebago was No. 3, garnering a 14.5% share, followed by Forest River at 14.3%.

In the Class C segment, July sales surged 24% from a year ago and were up 18.3% for the seven months. Forest River  held the top spot year-to-date with a 37.5% market share followed by Thor (21.7%) and Forest River’s Coachmen RV division (13%).
