Phoenix, Ariz.-based Cavco Industries Inc. recently completed their acquisition of Destiny Industries LLC, based in Moultrie, Ga., according to The Moultrie Observer.

Founded by brothers Bill and Donnie Edwards in 1978, Destiny has been a highly respected and innovative producer of manufactured and modular housing for over four decades, providing jobs and opportunities for its Colquitt County based workforce. With new ownership by Cavco, Destiny continues to be a leader in the manufactured and modular home industry, according to a press release from the Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority.

Cavco Industries builds the Fleetwood, Palm Harbor, Nationwide, and Fairmont brands, along with several others. Cavco will now add the Destiny Homes brand to its portfolio, expanding Cavco’s business in the southeastern U.S. and Florida markets.

Destiny Homes recently hosted a dealer show at its Moultrie location, modeling six homes with new floorplans, colors and finishes designed to meet growing consumer demand, the press release said.

Through partnership with the Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority, Cavco will continue production at the Moultrie location, retaining 247 Destiny employees and hiring up to an additional 30 new employees over the next three years, the press release said. Cavco has already begun adding new equipment to improve operations and respond to changing consumer demand.
