CCLOA’s autumn tours draw campground owners to talk about how their summer seasons went.

Colorado campground owners will gather to share their highs and lows of the summer camping season during the Colorado Campground & Lodging Owners Association’s (CCLOA) on Sept. 24 and 25.

The autumn event takes place in four locations around Colorado, with each stop lasting 45 to 90 minutes.  Tour stops are in Alamosa, Grand Junction, Buena Vista, and Grand Lake.

“No one operates well in a vacuum,” said CCLOA’s Executive Director Mary Arlington. “We need to hear what the park owners faced this summer.

“Past tours have proven that this annual event is very beneficial for everyone,” she added. “The association uses it to prepare for the upcoming legislative affairs session and for planning the spring conference. Of course, those then directly impact the owners, so we aim to have their input go full circle right back to them.”

Wade and Amy Price, of Cool Sunshine RV Park, are hosting the Alamosa stop.

“I’m excited for the others to see our new park, but mostly I’m looking forward to hearing what other owners faced this summer and how it compared to past years,” Amy Price said. “Wade and I are still figuring out what works, what’s normal, and what more we can do. We hope many others from southern Colorado will attend.”

All park owners are invited. Arlington explained that this is not a sales pitch to come join CCLOA and there will be no membership driven discussions during the tour. Although she said that nonmembers are always welcome to join the association.

“Owners are welcome to attend any of the meetings,” Arlington said.

There is no cost to attend, but registration is requested.
