What was promised to be a unique, luxury RV park on Phantom Canyon Road, so far, has not been deemed luxurious by county officials, according to the Daily Record.

The Fremont County (Colo.) Board of Commissioners on Tuesday (Jan. 11) tabled a decision to consider a major modification to an existing Special Review Use Permit held by Phantom Canyon RV Ranch, located at 505 County Road 67 in Penrose.

The board heard reports from the Fremont County Planning & Zoning Director and the Fremont County Building Official, which both expressed concern about the owners not being in compliance with their existing SRU.

The major modification calls for 20 additional travel self-contained trailers, modification of operational characteristics, installation of an on-site wastewater treatment system, reduction on recreation area and the addition of 23,476 square feet of storage areas and structures.
