Scenic Mountain RV Park is a 112-acre majestic landscape of rolling hills, nature trails, fishing ponds and an abundance of inhabiting wildlife. Conveniently close to the U.S. Highway 441 bypass and downtown Milledgeville, Ga., the park is a hidden gem located 2686 Irwinton Road South.
The park offers 60 full hook-up camping sites that include electricity, cable, Wi-Fi, water and sewage. Campers can create lasting memories gathered around the picnic table and fire pit stationed at each spot.
Other amenities for park visitors to enjoy include a swimming pool, single person bathhouses, three pavilions, a clubhouse with stocked games and a full kitchen for use.
A country store is located within the park’s main office and welcome center. The store provides visitors with local tourist information and sells a limited supply of needed camping items.
“The big seller is the fish food that people can purchase and feed the fish in our ponds,” said park Manager Tracy Seekins. “It’s an activity that is fun for all ages including adults — I love it as well.”
Seekins is new to Scenic Mountain and has more than 14 years of experience in the RV business. She came to the park in late June and said it is one of the most upscale camping locations she has ever experienced.
“Scenic Mountain is unique in many ways including having extra-large camping sites, one-person bathhouses, dog wash stations, and so many spots to simply enjoy nature,” she said.
Saying the park is pet-friendly is an understatement. Scenic Mountain welcomes furry friends with an enclosed dog run, washing stations attached to each bathhouse and paved roads for leisurely walks with leased pooches.
