Organizers are working fast and furious nailing down the final details for the 51st Annual Exposition for the Outdoor Hospitality Industry, which is Nov. 6-8 at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y.

The Expo is sponsored by Campground Owners of New York (CONY) and is open to CONY members, prospective members, prospective campground operators, industry suppliers, and industry colleagues.

“CONY holds this annual exposition as part of its mission to be an association dedicated to the promotion, growth, improvement, and development of privately owned campgrounds in New York State,” CONY officials said in a release.

The Expo’s theme this year is “ENERGY!” which is reflected in the location and the planned schedule.

The Exposition will kick off Nov. 6 with extended length seminars, a tour of the Villages at Turning Stone RV Resort and a visit to the Shako:Wi Cultural Center. Nov. 7 will feature more seminars, an awards luncheon with sponsor introductions and a keynote address by Josiah Brown of New York Welcomes You. The Expo trade show will take place that afternoon, and wine tasting, dinner and auction slated for that evening.

The agenda for Nov. 8 will include a morning trade show, lunch, an afternoon panel discussion and round table event, and the annual business meeting for CONY members. The evening festivities will kick off with the Chairman’s reception, followed by a formal banquet with installation of CONY officers.

Also during the anniversary dinner, CONY will announce the amount of proceeds raised from its second season of fundraising for Camp Good Days and Special Times, a New York State-based organization providing camping experiences to children with cancer. In the past two years, CONY has raised more than $100,000 in donations for this New York State-based charity.

The trade show on Nov. 7-8 welcomes industry suppliers for insurance, retail products, graphic design, campground equipment and products, merchant services and more.

Attendees bringing their families can sign up their younger children (ages 2-11) for the “CONY Kids Club,” for full days of safe, supervised fun for the kids while the adults attend seminars and meetings.

Also, teenagers can sign up for “Teen Track,” a custom-designed slate of seminars on retail and customer service for “future Campground Owners of New York,” including a special tour of the Wilcor showroom and warehouse facility.
