On Oct. 29, during the Campground Owners of New York’s (CONY) 56th Exposition for the Outdoor Hospitality & Trade Show, CONY announced that its member parks and campers had raised $101,431 in 2019, according to Suzanne Bixby, vice president of marketing and public relations.
Even better news? Additional donations brought forth the following day raised the total to $107,431, according to Bixby.
Since 2012, CONY and its members have raised over $700,000 for the charitable organization. Of special note, Camp Chautauqua in Stow, N.Y., owned by CONY’s Third Vice Chairman/Camp Good Days Fundraising Chairman Matt Anderson and the Anderson family, has singlehandedly been responsible for over $200,000 in donated funds over the years.
Camp Good Days and Special Times Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been touched by cancer and other life challenges. All of the programs and services provided by Camp Good Days are offered free of charge to the participants.
