Jackson County, Fla., Commissioners last week approved a development order authorizing the establishment of a large RV campground to be located between Old Spanish Trail and U.S. 90, approximately a half-mile east of State Road 71 in Marianna.
The location sits roughly behind the Panhandle Tractor/Kubota dealership. The RV developer has reached an agreement with that business to ensure that an existing chain-link fence between the properties will be enhanced to further create the sense of separation, county officials had said in discussing the proposed order, according to the Jackson County Floridan.
The park would be developed on a 28-acre site in two phases, with space for 195 sites. Phase I would include preparation of the first 151 sites, and Phase II the remaining 44. The park would use public water and sewer services. It has a general density allowance of up to 12 sites per acre on the site.
