A new campground will open June 30 at the River’s Bend Wildlife Area near Akron, Iowa, according to a report by the Daily Sentinel.
The approximately 80-acre wildlife area is county-owned with Plymouth County Conservation overseeing its operations.
The campground has 10 camp sites with water and electricity. There is also a fire ring and picnic table at each site.
Campers will have access to a restroom and a picnic shelter.
Cost to camp is $20 per night.
As with all campgrounds operated by Plymouth County Conservation, reservations are not taken for camp sites, it is first come, first served.
There is a kiosk as the entrance to the campground where campers will register and pay. A ranger will regularly check to make sure everyone is registered properly.
