Sometimes, a fresh set of ideas is all one needs to change one’s perspective. In the case of Dream Lake Campground in Warsaw, N.Y., new ownership comes with new ideas, the Wyoming County Free Press reported.

The Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism joined Patty and Keith Jarnot at the campground for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday (May 21).

“We are very pleased to join with Patty and Keith to open the campground under their flag and welcome them as new operators of the facility,” said Chamber President Scott Gardner. “They are solid local people and know the value of this attraction to the greater community. We thank them for their commitment to Dream Lake and to making Wyoming County a great place to bring the family.”

“I grew up camping with my family and believe that it’s a great experience for families to bond and grow together,” Patty said. “Camping promotes dedicated family time and we are very pleased to be able to offer that for other families.”

Dream Lake Campground is situated on 43 acres of land and set on a five-acre lake which offers fishing, canoeing, paddle boats, a beach and swimming area. The Jarnots are focusing on a fun, friendly, family atmosphere. Patrons have the opportunity to stay for a weekend, week or even the entire summer.

“When the opportunity presented itself, we made the decision to take on the campground as a new adventure,” Patty said. “My husband and I are still working full-time and manage the campground together. It is great that our whole family is part of the team, and it will provide valuable lessons for our kids and leave a legacy for them in many ways.”
