Crews spent Thursday (April 27) cleaning up a campground near Shell Knob, Mo., damaged by Wednesday’s strong storms, television station KYTV reported.
The Viola Public Use area opens next week near Table Rock Lake. Crews cleared trees over power lines and roads. An arborist on the scene said it could take a full week to cleanup the mess.
While some firewood is going through the wood chipper, workers are saying some for campers. The work should be finished before opening day next week.
