John Primm and Melissa Cipriano

Melissa Cipriano, executive director of Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada, was on hand Nov. 12 at the RVBusiness Top 50 Dealer Awards Reception during the 2014 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo at Bally’s on the Las Vegas Strip to receive a $2,500 donation from Dometic Corp. and RVBusiness magazine on behalf of KOA Care Camps.

In accepting the check from John Primm, director of RV Aftermarket for Elkhart, Ind.-based Dometic, Cipriano told an RV industry audience of more than 500 about the positive impact resulting from the 94 North American KOA Care Camps, a key charitable focus of KOA and the KOA Owners’ Association that allows children with cancer to relax for a while each summer and “just be kids” once again.

“You don’t have to be a parent to recognize the fact that the KOA Care Camp Trust is one of the more worthy charitable entities in North America and one to which the entire RV industry, manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, dealers and park operators, should be paying attention in the years ahead,” said Sherman Goldenberg, publisher of RVBusiness and Woodall’s Campground Management.
