The RV and campground industries are known for having a big heart. Over the years, campground owners, manufacturers, suppliers and dealers have pulled together to aid victims of natural disasters and catastrophes domestically and abroad.

Joining these efforts is RV Life, the Dallas, Texas, digital community with 1.6 million members and publisher of apps like Campground Reviews, RV Trip Wizard, RV Maintenance Tracker, Do It Yourself RV, and more than 20 RV forums.

“I said to my coworkers, ‘Anybody want to go to Ukraine and shuttle refugees?’” RV Life founder and CEO Andy Robinowitz told WOODALLSCM.com. “And yes, we had volunteers. But as we looked at the logistics and not speaking the language, we realized that we might be more of a hindrance than a help.”

As it turns out, one of RV Life’s team members was born in Ukraine and embraced the challenge of finding ways to provide aid. Robinowitz said that his team landed on several alternatives, including an online fundraiser called Nova Ukraine, a 501 C-3 non-profit, which Robinowitz has been promoting through RV Life’s various media channels. As a result, other groups have picked up and shared his efforts.

While Robinowitz emphasized that this is not about garnering attention for RV Life, he is happy that others are seeing his message and joining to help raise money for Ukraine.

“At RV Life, we stand with Ukraine,” said Robinowitz in the fundraiser introduction. “The monies raised will go directly to volunteers on the ground in Kharkiv and Kyiv. No matter the size, every donation will make a difference in the lives of those affected.”

As of Thursday, April 7, RV Life had received a little over $6,000 in donations towards a goal of $10,000; RV Life will contribute a matching amount.
