An application for a 90-site “dome glamping camp” with an onsite restaurant, pool, spa, wedding venue and employee housing was brought before the Lamoine, Maine, Planning Board at its meeting on Jan. 2, according to The Ellsworth American.
The applicant is CPEX, LLC, and the development would be part of Clear Sky Resorts, a glamping resort company based in Arizona. The company has plans to expand to the East Coast, looking to construct a resort in close proximity to Acadia National Park.
Clear Sky Resorts currently has a site in Williams, Ariz., just outside of Grand Canyon National Park. The company’s proposed site on Partridge Cove Road in Lamoine, if approved and built, would be called Clear Sky Acadia.
