Encore’s Spring Gulch RV Resort in New Holland, Pa., is set to host its 26th Annual Spring Gulch Folk Festival, May 18-20. The annual festival celebrates the area’s rich history of folk music and includes live music, workshops, dancing, sing-alongs, crafts and traditional Pennsylvania Dutch food, according to a news release.
The weekend-long festival features an assortment of music styles including bluegrass, blues, jazz, country, rock ‘n’ roll and, of course, folk music. Some of the bands headlining the festival are Dry Branch Fire Squad, Nathan Williams and the Zydeco Cha Chas, Magic Slim & the Teardrops, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk and two-time Grammy Award winners Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer.
Friday nights performances will begin at 7:40 p.m. and wrap up at 10:35 p.m. Saturday’s lineup begins at noon and ends at 10:40 p.m. with a dinner break from 5:45 to 7:15. The final day’s performances will run from noon to 4 p.m.
Spring Gulch RV Resort is offering camping packages for the weekend. All prices are per person and include the admission ticket to the festival. The four-day package prices ranges from $120 to $165 and the three-day package ranges from $110 to $155, dependent upon site location. Children ages 7 to 17 can be added for $40 per child with children 6 and under being an additional $5 each.
A special package is available to attendees making their first trip to the festival. The First-Timer’s four-night package is available for $99 per adult with a minimum of two adults required for reservations. Children’s prices are the same as the regular packages.
Tent camping is available in the value sites and single-day festival tickets are available for $15 for Friday or Sunday and $40 for Saturday. Single-day tickets for children ages 6-17 are available for $10 for Friday or Sunday and $20 for Saturday. Coupons for single-day festival tickets are available at www.springgulch.com.
