The outdoor hospitality industry, made up of campground owners, operators, associations, suppliers, and many other individuals, have for years supported a number of charitable organizations. These non-profits help send thousands of children to specialized cancer camps every year, rebuild and renovate parks struck by disasters, and much more.

Two of the largest industry organizations are Care Camps, formerly known as KOA Care Camps, and the ARVC Foundation. There are many others, though, including March of Dimes who partners with CCRVC in Canada for their “Campers Helping Campers” program.

Both organizations are preparing to host auctions in November to help support their missions, and to extend the reach of their support. To get a better idea of the work they do and the impact the COVID crisis has had on their organizations, WCM Fireside Chats will be bringing on representatives from both groups on Monday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. (EST).

Joining us are:

  • Jennifer Mercer, Care Camps’ director of development
  • Cyndy Zbierski, the ARVC Foundation’s Chairman

Broadcast on both Zoom and Facebook Live, attendees are encouraged to register via Zoom, so they can be involved in the discussion. Guests are frequently brought on like a radio call-in show to ask questions and engage with the hosts.

The show is co-hosted by Ben Quiggle, editor of Woodall’s Campground Management magazine and administrator of WOODALLSCM.com (WCM), a publication focused on providing relevant news and information to RV park and campground owners, and Brian Searl, CEO of Insider Perks, a marketing firm that is focused on serving the outdoor hospitality industry.

Cara Braeutigam, from the Canadian Camping and RV Council, is making regular appearances as WCM works to cover the entire North American RV park and campground sectors. Braeutigam shares her perspective on the Canadian outdoor hospitality industry, along with trends and insights.

Attendees who want to ask questions or take part in the conversation are encouraged to register and take part as an audience member on Zoom. You can register for Zoom here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_aqLvH05pS6GgbfbWmIstlw
