For park owners across North America 2020 has turned into a year that has been unlike anything anyone ever expected. At the beginning of the year, many park owners were anticipating another busy camping season as interest in the RV park and campground sectors had been growing over the past few years.

Then COVID-19 hit and it threw a large monkey wrench in everyone’s plans. Most northern tier campgrounds faced delayed starts to their seasons, while southern tier campgrounds dealt with snowbirds who were unsure where or when they should travel.

But as the spring turned into summer and many campgrounds were able to open to travelers, depending on which state or area a campground may be located in, some parks saw campers returning in force. Some have even reported that they are having better years financially than in 2019.

To get a better feel for how the current crisis has impacted the RV park and campground sectors, WCM Fireside Chats has invited a group of RV park and campground owners from across the country to join us on Monday, Aug. 31, to discuss how the COVID-19 crisis has impacted their businesses.

Broadcast on both Zoom and Facebook Live, the show is co-hosted by Ben Quiggle, editor of Woodall’s Campground Management magazine and administrator of WOODALLSCM.com (WCM), a publication focused on providing relevant news and information to RV park and campground owners, and Brian Searl, CEO of Insider Perks, a marketing firm that is focused on serving the outdoor hospitality industry.

Cara Braeutigam, from the Canadian Camping and RV Council, is making regular appearances as WCM works to cover the entire North American RV park and campground sectors. Braeutigam shares her perspective on the Canadian outdoor hospitality industry, along with trends and insights.

Attendees are encouraged to register via Zoom, so they can be involved in the discussion. Guests are frequently brought on like a radio call-in show to ask questions and engage with the hosts.

Attendees who want to ask questions or take part in the conversation are encouraged to register and take part as an audience member on Zoom. You can register for Zoom here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_aqLvH05pS6GgbfbWmIstlw
