Yacht Haven Park & Marina is completing major upgrades to make it a luxury destination.
Before Gary Cioffi and his fellow investors purchased Yacht Haven Park & Marina last summer, the 255-site Fort Lauderdale, Fla., RV and luxury yacht resort, was in desperate need of attention.
“The resort was in dire shape,” said Cioffi, “but we saw the potential for a great South Florida experience and now we’re creating it.”
The group has invested more than $2 million in many additions and improvements that are already welcoming guests, including a renovated pool framed by a wooden sundeck, a poolside Tiki Hut with hammocks and a nautical-themed bar. Steps away is a recreation area with cornhole and shuffleboard courts and open space to unwind.
The resort has also added kayak and paddleboard rentals, pontoon boat rentals and a 35-foot center console motorboat that can be chartered for sightseeing and fun on the water. Concierge services are onsite to help guests plan their days and nights, and upgraded laundry and restroom facilities, as well valet trash service, provide added comfort and convenience.
The best news, Cioffi said, is that this year’s upgrades are only Phase One of a $20 million improvement plan that will eventually transform Yacht Haven into a luxury resort.
“We’re filling up quickly and guests are telling us they’re impressed with what we’ve already done,” Cioffi adds, “and this year’s upgrades are only Phase One of a complete resort transformation that will include a state-of-the-art clubhouse with a new tropical pool and sundeck, indoor and outdoor bars and dining, a full fitness center, a business center located within the clubhouse, and many more amenities for guests to enjoy down the road. It’s really exciting to see it take shape.”
Plans also include outdoor fire pits and lounge areas, and either pickleball, basketball and/or tennis courts.
Beyond making improvements to the resort, the new ownership team is committed to elevating the guest service level at Yacht Haven.
