Jensen was also critical in the launch of CalARVC’s RV Park Days. As Jensen’s last duty she installed two new directors, Johnathan Skinner and Kris Oneida, as well as Sisk for another term. Skinner comes with a long history in recreation services starting with the city of Reno, Nev., Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve and now oversees the Recreation and Community Services for the city of Lake Elsinore. Oneida hales from Wishon Village Resort, located at 6,500-plus feet in the cen- tral Sierras west of Fresno. Oneida’s family built the park more than 50 years ago and he andhiswife,Katie,runthefamilystyleresort. The final act of the meeting was the election and installation of the 2017-2018 ExecutiveCommittee.Theboardunanimously elected Hendrickson, of Horizon Resorts, as president; Uhles, of Bakersfield River Run RV Park, as vice-president; MacKenzie, of Holiday RV Park, as secretary/treasurer and Sisk, of Pismo Coast Village, as past president. WCM A number of park model RV manufacturers took part in the Elkhart RV Open House in mid- September as part of what was called the “Park Model Village.” The 10th annual Open House, a trade-only event in and around Elkhart, Ind., provided RV manufacturers the opportunity to connect with representatives from an estimated 4,000 dealers prior to the 2018 selling season. The Park Model Village allowed manufacturers to display full models that dealers and prospec- tive buyers could walk through. Over the past six months, Camping World Holdings (CWH) has acquired certain assets of Gander Mountain, a leading retailer of hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor gear; Overton’s, a leading retailer of CampingWorldtoAcquireUncleDan’sOutfitters data science, as the company expands its platform to a global audience.
