Residents in Wichita Falls RV Park in Wichita Falls, Texas, are not using any sandbags in anticipation of major flooding. Instead, they have been evacuating since Thursday morning (May 21), relocating RVs and their belongings, television station KFDX reported.
Officials with the park said about 200 people have evacuated, leaving the lots basically empty. However, a couple of stragglers who cannot move to a different park are choosing instead to move their RVs to the top of the hill. The owners of the RV park were notified Wednesday mandatory evacuations would begin as of 8 a.m. Thursday.
