A popular spot for locals and other tourists, Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach is doubling its number of campground sites, the St. Augustine Record reported.
Florida announced Wednesday (May 28) that the park will construct another 34 campsites at west side of the park near the Intracoastal Waterway.
The construction period will be six to eight months. This project also includes improvements to the picnic area near the Intracoastal.
Many of the recreational facilities on the west side of the park will be impacted during the project.
