Firefighters called on helicopters again Wednesday (March 11) to battle a wildfire that consumed more than 400 acres of wilderness and forced the U.S. Forest Service to evacuate Juniper Springs Campground in Florida’s Ocala National Forest, according to OrlandoSentinel.com.
The blaze erupted Tuesday. The fire, which has fed on especially dry ground cover in the forest, is north of State Road 40 and west of S.R. 19.
