Cincinnati, Ohio-based FMCA RV Club, the world’s largest nonprofit association for RV owners, has a new provider for its popular FMCAssist Medical Emergency and Travel Assistance benefit. Effective Oct. 1, travel assistance services are being provided by GMMI Inc., part of the Europ Assistance Group, and insurance for the FMCAssist program is underwritten by Chubb, the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance company.

“Our FMCAssist program has saved lives,” said FMCA national president Jon Walker. “It has helped people get the care they need, when they need it, while away from the comforts of home.”

FMCAssist Medical Emergency and Travel Assistance is included with each FMCA membership, with no additional fees or special enrollment required. Services include medical evacuation and repatriation; return home; return of dependent children; RV return (limited to North America); return of private passenger automobile (limited to North America); pet return; accidental death and dismemberment; and more. FMCA members are eligible for these services anytime they are 75 miles or more from their primary permanent residence, and full-time RVers are always considered more than 75 miles from home.

“These types of plans can cost hundreds of dollars in many cases, sometimes more. To have this benefit included with membership is what sets us apart from other RV clubs. I truly believe no other RV club can match what we offer,” said Chris Smith, FMCA’s CEO.
