Frontiertown Campground, Ocean City, Md., is the winner of the first-ever Best Best Parks in America contest sponsored by Best Parks in America during April, May and June. The park garnered over 1,800 consumer votes to win top honors and has been declared the Best of the Best Parks in America for 2012, according to a news release.
Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Md., Anaheim Resort RV Park, Anaheim, Calif., and Emerald Beach RV Resort, Navarre, Fla., finished second, third and fourth, respectively.
Rounding out the top 10 vote getters are Fort Whaley Campground in Maryland, Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort in Pennsylvania, Misty River Cabins & RV Resort, Tennessee, Sunrise RV Resort, Arizona, The Vineyards Campground & Cabins in Texas and Mill Creek Ranch in Texas.
Over 12,000 consumers cast votes in the network’s Best of Summer promotion. Consumers were invited to cast their vote for their favorite Best Parks in America resort and with each voter was entered to win a week’s free camping at the Best Park of their choice. The winner of the camping prize is Craig Whitbeck from New York. Whitbeck voted for Mountain Vista Campground in Pennsylvania.
