Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) is proud to announce that the Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA Holiday (Gettysburg, Pa.) has completed a significant campground enhancement project, including a property-wide electrical upgrade bringing 30/50-amp service to all RV sites, adding new KOA Patio RV Sites, upgrading additional RV sites and enhancing Wi-Fi, offering guests an even more comfortable and elevated outdoor hospitality experience, according to a press release.

Developed throughout the 2026 season, the project represents a major investment in the campground and guest experience. Electrical infrastructure was upgraded across the entire property, bringing all RV sites to 30/50-amp service and better accommodating the power needs of today’s RV travelers. Additional improvements include new KOA Patio RV Sites, enhancements to existing RV sites, upgraded campground Wi-Fi, commercial-grade fire features, outdoor seating and thoughtfully designed gathering spaces for relaxing, dining outdoors and enjoying the campground’s setting just minutes from Gettysburg National Military Park.

“We’re always looking for ways to enhance the guest experience while creating spaces where families and friends can make lasting memories together,” said Nate Thompson, partner at KCN Campgrounds. “Upgrading the entire campground to 30/50-amp electrical service was a significant investment in the property, and together with our new KOA Patio Sites, additional site improvements and upgraded Wi-Fi, it allows us to better meet the needs of today’s RV travelers while giving guests even more ways to relax and enjoy everything that makes camping in Gettysburg so special.”

To celebrate the completion of the project, the Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA Holiday hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Aug. 28. The celebration brought together campground leadership, local tourism partners and community leaders to recognize the investment in the property and its continued role in welcoming visitors to the Gettysburg area.

“Gettysburg and Adams County welcome millions of visitors each year, and having a diverse range of quality accommodations is an important part of creating a strong visitor experience,” said Karl Pietrzak, president and CEO of Destination Gettysburg. “Investments like these at the Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA Holiday strengthen our tourism economy and give travelers even more ways to stay, explore and experience everything our destination has to offer.”

Located just minutes from the historic Gettysburg Battlefield, Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA Holiday offers campers an idyllic forest setting with convenient access to one of America’s most visited destinations. Along with these recent improvements, the campground features a variety of accommodations and amenities for families, road trippers and outdoor enthusiasts exploring south-central Pennsylvania.

The Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA Holiday is open April 4 to Nov. 1, 2026. For more information or to make a reservation, visit the campground’s website or call 717-642-5713.
