Go RVing elk finds home at hall of fame.

The city of Elkhart, Ind., is having a celebration involving custom-decorated, nearly life-sized elk sculptures, RVBUSINESSS.com reported. Bill Fenech, president and CEO of Elkhart-based Thor Motor Coach, commissioned one of the statues with a Go RVing theme to be displayed at the RV/MH Hall of Fame. A dozen or so elks are being displayed throughout the Elkhart community. Shown here, the Go RVing elk was installed at the Hall of Fame entrance Thursday (June 30), sporting a patriotic look heading into the Fourth of July weekend. The exhibit, called “Elk Art on Parade,” is a fundraiser for Child and Parent Services, Elkhart County’s child-abuse prevention agency. The sculptures will remain on display through late October and will be auctioned off Nov. 18. The RV/MH Hall of Fame is situated on the north side of Elkhart along the Indiana Toll Road.
